Nepali Nationals Relief and Assistance
The devastating earthquake in Nepal is heartbreaking. The Institute of International Education has emergency grants of up to $2,000 to help Nepali students with urgent financial needs to continue their U.S. studies. To learn more, please visit the IIE Emergency Student Fund to Assist Nepali Students on U.S. Campuses webpage at http://www.iie.org/What-We-Do/Emergency-Assistance/Emergency-Student-Fund/Current-Funding-Efforts/Nepal-ESF USCIS has several immigration relief measures that may be available to Nepali nationals who are affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. PIER Position Announcement
Do you want to become involved in international education? Do you want to volunteer valuable time to assist with the PIER mission? The PIER Board has an open position for the new position of Communications Coordinator for the 2015-2016 and 2016 – 2017 PIER Board. This position combines the current duties of Secretary and Webmaster and requires a two-year commitment. We already have one candidate for the position. If you are interested, please send your name and a brief bio to piergroupsd@gmail.com no later than June 1, 2015. We will send out an election form via Survey Monkey prior to the June 15, 2015 meeting. Other PIER Board positions will open for the 2016-2017 in spring 2016.
